Welcome: Why This Portfolio Has a Blog

What this blog covers and how posts are structured.

portfolio · career · writing

This portfolio is a Next.js app on Netlify. At the time of writing, Jenkins on Kubernetes ran CI. The hub-and-spoke observability stack and Argo CD setup described here are now historical deployments; their hosted environments have been retired.

The blog records how those systems were built: tradeoffs, failures, and the parts that were boring but load-bearing.

How Posts Are Structured

Each post covers:

  1. Context: the problem and constraints
  2. Approach: what shipped and what did not
  3. Takeaway: a checklist, snippet, or pattern you can reuse

If a post does not end with something concrete, it should not go up.

Posts planned at publication

  • How the Jenkins pipeline validates this site (lint, typecheck, build, Dockerfile lint, container build) without pushing images on PRs
  • Setting up an LGTM stack (Grafana, Loki, Tempo) with OTLP ingestion on OKE
  • Migrating Rocket.Chat across Helm chart versions with Git-driven deploys
